Terms of Use

Parksmeets.com is a platform designed to bring together amusement park enthusiasts for a day or a trip. To ensure that all users can fully enjoy the experience provided by Parks Meets, certain rules must be respected by users. The following regulations may evolve if the Parks Meets team deems it necessary.

1. Use of the text messaging system

Parks Meets offers its users a text messaging system, in the form of a "chat" available on each "visit" page. To ensure proper use of this chat, the following rules must be respected when sending messages:

It is strictly forbidden to insult other users of the site or the Parks Meets team. It is also prohibited to share any information that could shock, hurt, or harm anyone. The moderation team reserves the right to delete any message they deem inappropriate, as well as to suspend or ban a user who has violated one of the chat rules.

The use of words that the team considers vulgar is also prohibited. A user who is too vulgar may face sanctions, including the suspension of their account.

2. Profile Photos

Parks Meets allows its users to set a public profile picture for their accounts. For obvious reasons of respect, it is strictly forbidden to use a degrading, vulgar, or obscene image as a profile picture. The moderation team reserves the right to delete any profile picture they deem inappropriate.

3. Visits

The main objective of Parks Meets is to display your visit dates and join days when other members are present. To ensure the best possible use of the service for everyone, we ask our users to follow the following principles as much as possible:

If a member is unable to attend a scheduled visit, they are strongly advised to inform the other members of their inability to attend as soon as possible to avoid a last-minute no-show.

Parks Meets’ sole purpose is to connect members to help them organize their days and meet new people. It is up to the members to manage the organization of their day themselves.

Any inappropriate behavior by a user during a day planned through Parks Meets, reported by other members, may result in sanctions, including the suspension of their account. As in everyday life, it is essential to behave appropriately and respect each person present.

After each visit, in the "My Past Visits" section, where your past visits are accessible for 30 days, you can revisit a trip. Under each profile of the members who attended, a form will be available the day after the visit, allowing you to quickly evaluate how you felt about each member. This form offers three options: good, not good, did not attend. A user receiving too many negative feedbacks or reports through the form available on Parks Meets may be sanctioned by the moderation team if they determine that their presence at the events is detrimental to other members, for the benefit of all.

4. Minor Users

Parks Meets is accessible from the age of 15, allowing younger users to also meet and enjoy days in parks with fellow enthusiasts. This section is more intended as advice than as regulation. Here is a non-exhaustive list of tips that minor users may consider to better organize their days:

It is recommended that minor users be accompanied by an adult (parent, uncle...) or not attend visits alone, for instance, by bringing a friend. This helps facilitate travel arrangements and, more importantly, ensures the member is not alone in an unknown situation in case of any problem.

In the case of an overseas visit, especially for those near borders, pay close attention to restrictions that may be in place. Some exist in Europe and are often overlooked. It is highly recommended to be accompanied by a close adult.

In case of any problem, question, or need to report something, the moderation team will be fully available and will try to assist you as best as possible. On Parks Meets, the main goal is to allow all users to make the most of their days. For this reason, the site’s team is available to listen to every user, regardless of the situation.

5. Registration

When a user registers on Parks Meets, it is essential to provide valid information, particularly the date of birth (not publicly displayed by default). Since the site is only accessible from the age of 15, the provided date of birth must be accurate. The moderation team reserves the right to suspend any user who has entered an incorrect date of birth.

6. Parks Meets’ Responsibility

Parks Meets is a website similar to a social network, allowing users to organize days at parks or trips. Parks Meets is solely intended to facilitate user connections and exchanges; it is not responsible for the organization of your park days, nor for the behavior of members during the events/trips organized via Parks Meets. The moderation team does its best to keep Parks Meets as safe as possible, but users are responsible for being cautious with whom they meet in parks. It is nearly impossible to predict the behavior and intentions of members registered on the site, so it is extremely important for users to be cautious during meetups and report any issues concerning a user on the site.
